We are proud to announce that our Telefriending service in partnership with Opening Doors has received National Lottery funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to help our project support more older LGBT+ people.
The Telefriending Service aims is to reduce the stress of loneliness and isolation amongst people who are over 50 and identify as LGBT+ in Yorkshire. By connecting people with a like-minded volunteer who will call once a week for a friendly, 30 minute chat, we aim to help increase confidence, and provide a supportive friend who also identifies as LGBT+.
