Why LGBTQ+ Inclusion in the Workplace is essential
It’s a strategic imperative – LGBTQ+ inclusion improves the bottom line
Our first LGBTQ+ Matters Forum in June sparked real energy and consensus — that we must go further, together. We will focus on practical, proactive strategies that remind businesses of the enduring importance of LGBTQ+ people—not only as employees, but as customers, stakeholders, and citizens.

2025 Update: A Surge in LGBTQ+ Identification
As of February 2025, 9.3% of all U.S. adults now identify as LGBTQ+
Among Gen Z adults (born ~1997–2006), the LGBTQ+ identification rate is approximately 23.1%
This generational shift will shape the future of every workplace, every service, every sector.
Because visibility, inclusion, and shared leadership matter more than ever. Businesses, services, and institutions that fail to include and represent them risk being left behind.
This is about more than employee wellbeing.
It’s about the future of your organisation — its values, relevance, and sustainability.
We’re uniting people, communities, and employers to create lasting change through sector-specific roundtables and public commitments. So far we have interest from finance, health and care, education, public services, creative industries, professional services and hospitality & leisure sectors.
Sector-specific dialogue empowers industries to take ownership of inclusion and move beyond one-size-fits-all solutions.”
Meaningful inclusion looks different in every sector — and so should the solutions.
