Community groups are at the heart of Out Together’s work. They are about bringing people together, creating routine and offering a sense of belonging.

Groups are shaped by the people who attend and range from relaxed social meet-ups to peer-led discussion groups. Some focus on shared experiences, while others are simply about spending time together in a friendly space.

What to expect from our groups

Groups are informal, welcoming and inclusive. There is no pressure to talk or share personal experiences unless you want to. Many people come along just to listen, have a brew and enjoy the company.

Groups may include:

  • Social meet-ups and coffee groups
  • Peer support sessions
  • Interest-based or activity groups
  • Themed or identity-led groups

Where groups take place

Community groups run across our hubs and at partner venues. Some are ongoing, while others run for a set period or around a particular theme.
