Who we are
Out Together was established to address the persistent isolation, inequality and exclusion experienced by many LGBT+ people across Yorkshire. While progress has been made in visibility and rights, many individuals still face loneliness, reduced confidence and barriers to accessing support, particularly as they age or as services move increasingly online.
We work alongside LGBTQ+ people to create spaces that feel safe, inclusive and genuinely welcoming. Our approach is community-led and grounded in lived experience. We listen first, respond to what people tell us they need, and adapt our work to reflect the realities of people’s lives.
Our work takes place through local hubs, outreach activity and partnerships. We bring people together socially to have fun, support practical skills such as digital confidence, and collaborate with health, local authority and voluntary sector partners to reach people who might otherwise be overlooked.
We believe that community connection is not a ‘nice to have’ but a fundamental part of wellbeing. Everything we do is built around that belief.
